Glen McBride Hancock was born on December 12, 1916 near Murdo, South Dakota. He entered into heaven on November 25, 2012 reuniting with his wife Linnia.
He was a retired dairy farmer from Bois D''Arc and was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippines and Japan. He was honorably discharged as a corporal from the United States Army.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Wesley and Verna McBride Hancock; brothers, Lloyd and Gene; sisters, Opal, Ada and Mae; son, Ray Batson and daughter, Joyce Brogno.
He is survived by three sons, Don Batson and Caroline, Glen L. Hancock, David Hancock and Cindy; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Glen loved Linnia and missed her terribly for 1 year and 20 days. They are taking long walks, fishing, watching the bird dogs work and just being together forever.
A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Highway EE, Springfield. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
