Gladys M. Young, 88 of Battlefield, Mo. was born on December 19, 1922 to Wilford Joel and Frances Ellen (Davis) Sissel. She was united in marriage to Woodrow W. Young on October 30, 1940 in Galena, KS. She passed away October 26, 2011 at Christian Health care in Republic. Gladys enjoyed working in her garden, bird watching and bluegrass music. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one sister. Surving her are her sons, Joel Young and his wife Cindy of Republic, Lewis Young and his wife Lynda of Eureka, MT. Three grandchildren Stephanie Fletcher and her husband Gary, Danny Young and his wife Kimberly of Republic, Will Young and his wife Jamie of Ketchikan, AK. and five great grandchildren Dylan and Jacob Fletcher, Tyson, Ella and Taryn Young. A visitation will be held in the chapel at Klingner-Cope funeral home at Rivermonte on Sunday from 4-6pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2pm in the chapel with interment to follow at the Manley Cemetery, Battlefield, MO. Memorial donations may be made to the Manley Cemetery in Gladys' honor
