Gladys Katherine Pupkes, 102, was born in Fall City, NE, November 2, 1908 on a farm. She moved to Phoenix, AZ with her sister, Helen, where she was confirmed and baptized at the Lutheran Church.
She married George Pupkes in Jan. 1937 in Phoenix, AZ. They later moved and lived in Mesa, for 16 years and in 1955, they moved to Tucson, where her husband passed away on July 19, 1955. She came to Springfield, MO in Jan. 2011 to be near her niece.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Grace and Helen and 1 brother, Edward . Survivors include her niece, Sally Harrison of Springfield, MO; nephews, Charles Melhinch of Wake Forest, NC and Kenneth Vogele of Falls City, NE; 4 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews and 3 great-great-nephews, all who will miss their "Auntie" deeply.
Burial will take place in East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson, AZ at a later date.
