Gladys Rose Gardner, 96, was welcomed into heaven on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She was born on Friday, April 2, 1920 in Grabeil, MO to Edna Lois Smith and Rev. Robert E. Herd.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sue Strain, Janet Deffenderfer (husband Ron) and Judy Berka (husband Leonard), nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and many
friends.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Brentwood Christian Church, 1900 E. Barataria St., Springfield, MO 65804, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Souder Cemetery, were a graveside service will be held at 3pm.
