Obituary

Gerry Ann Bolick passed away July 29, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 96.

Gerry was born on July 8, 1930, in Milan, Missouri to Frank D. Johnson and Dixie J. (Hoffman) Johnson. She graduated from Kirksville High School in 1948 and married Ralph N. (Norm) Bolick on March 26, 1950. The couple resided in Kirksville, Springfield, and then moved to Branson in 1974 where she lived until her passing. Gerry was a longtime member of the Branson Christian Church.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norm Bolick on March 26, 1997, and very recently her only sister and brother-in-law, William R. and Frances K. (Kay) Novinger.

Gerry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker for over 76 years. She had many lifelong friends and served others living out Jesus’ words “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Very often, she denied herself but gladly gave and served others, living out the Bible’s commandment to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” She was a great example of how to love and serve others in very tangible ways. Her excellent cooking and home baked goodies will be remembered well by those who knew her.

Gerry will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes: one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Becky Bolick of Rogersville, Missouri, five granddaughters, Sarah Bolick, Hannah Bolick, Michaela (Clay) Farr, Laura Bolick, Emma Bolick, and her much loved niece and nephew and their families.
