Gerald "Jerry" Ray Brown, age 77, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, in Rogersville, MO. He was born to Raymond T and Dortha (Reinhart) Brown on Monday, May 24, 1937 in Des Moines, IA.
Jerry suffered from cancer and neuropathy since 2000. He cherished his bride, Georgann, his 3 daughters and all grandchildren and loved doing projects with them. He was an entrepreneur, inventor and very creative. He loved golfing, fishing, boating and being in the water. He was a loving, caring man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from East High in De Moines, IA.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Georgann of 55 years; children, Tawny Brown, Pamela Mallard (Les), Linda Fann (Mike); grandchildren, Wes Wickham, Kristie Wittaker, Brandyn Mallard, Shon Mallard, Chris Fann, Justin Fann, Colton Fann; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Joann Sargent and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2015, from 6-8 P.M., at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Services will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday March 10, 2015, at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 925 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO, lunch will be served at the church following the service. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens at 2:00 P.M.
