George F. (Wiz) Widlund, 83 was born January 31, 1931 and passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Quail Creek in Springfield.

He was very active in many activities including community service groups, sports clubs and really loved playing a round of golf. George always said "Oh, but I had a good time"

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Flora; grandparents, Hannah and John and brother, Fred .

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Dona; son, Don Widlund (Pat); grandchildren, Brandi and Erik and their families; brother, Robert and his family and sister-in-law, Nelda and her family. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10 AM in Springfield National Cemetery.
