George Harvey Hunter, 54 of Springfield, MO passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Cox South Hospital. He was born September 13, 1959 in Springfield, Mo to Frank and Virginia Hunter. He was their baby George. George graduated from Central High School, Class of 1978. He went on to drive a taxi cab for several years. On July 26, 1991, George married his true love, Doris (Dudley) Hunter. George was the proud Dad of Samantha Hunter and Nelda Hutchins, and proud poppy of granddaughter Jossie Hutchins.

George was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Frankie (Hunter) Burge, a brother James Hunter and is survived by a sister Mable (Hunter) Cullen. George also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all.

A visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 11 am to 12 pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield, MO with a graveside service to follow at Bellview Cemetery.
