Geneva Alene Metzelthin was born September 21,1924 near what is now the Norfolk Dam in Arkansas. She married Willard Carl Metzelthin on November 2, 1941 in St. Charles, Missouri. Geneva was the matriarch of her family. She and Willard loved the lake, and eventually they built their dream vacation home at Table Rock Lake. Geneva and Willard had three children, Carl, Linda and J.C. She was preceded in death by the loss of her husband Willard, her daughter Linda Freeman Linegar, and a great granddaughter Nyla Freeman. She is survived by her sons Carl and wife, Marianne, and J.C. and wife, Krystal. She has three Grandchildren Paul Freeman and wife, Julie, Brandon Freeman and wife, Cortney, Trey Metzelthin and wife, Shanna. She has five great grandchildren Garrett Freeman, Danielle Freeman, Jaida Freeman, Brodie Freeman and Elyse Metzelthin. Geneva spent her retirement years living at the lake house where she fished, baked, watched the Cardinals play baseball, and entertained her friends, family, and all of their friends.
There will be graveside services only at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens at 10AM Friday. The family anticipates a celebration of a life lived fully to her standards.
