Mr. Gary Lee Huffman, age, 84 of Springfield, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

Gary was born on Wednesday, February 25, 1942 in Springfield, MO, to Jesse and Helen (Lee) Huffman. and graduated from Central High School in Springfield, MO. He married Patricia Letterman-Reynolds in 1963. He worked as a custodian and worked for many places in Springfield, including, Springfield Public Schools. 

He loved baseball and collected coins and baseball cards. He also enjoyed playing Chess and almost received the rank of Chess Master. He was an avid reader, especially westerns, and loved hiking and just being in nature and he loved his dogs, Pedro, Keishka and Rebel Rose.

He is survived by two sons, Kurt  and John Huffman; one sister, Sharon, and amazing friend, Carol Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; parents, Jesse and Helen Huffman; brothers, Ronnie and Donnie; one sister, Barbara.
