Gary Glenn Blackwell, 70, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on Monday March 3,2025.

Gary was born on  Monday, April 5, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to Glenn W. and Dorothy (Dearhart) Blackwell. Gary had several hobbies but fishing was his favorite.

Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Sally Blackwell of Nixa Mo; father, Glenn W. Blackwell; mother, Dorothy Blackwell of Springfield Mo; sister, Diane Michele Simmons of Knoxville, TN; brother in-law, Gary M. Simmons of Knoxville TN.

He is survived by a niece, Angela  Day of Bedford, Indiana; two nephews, Bryan Simmons of Lenoir City, TN, and Adam Simmons of Lexington KY; great- nephew, Chandler Miller of Bedford, IN;  great-niece, Brooklyn Simmons; two great-nephew's, Brysen Simmons and Paxton Simmons all of Lenoir City, TN.

A Celebration of Life will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, 2244 E. Pythian St. Springfield, MO 65802 on Friday, March 7, 2025. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Bob Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Cemetery .
