Gano Cornwell, 94, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 in Springfield, MO. He was born to Sewell Clinton Cornwell & Elizabeth Ellen Swango on November 19, 1919 in Frenchburg, KY.
Gano married Doris "Susie" Wildman on July 11, 1942 in Rantoul, IL. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents; 1 brother, Jack Cornwell & 1 sister, Pauline Fox
He is survived by his wife; 1 daughter, Pamela (Carl) Reese of Springfield, MO; 1 son, Stephen (Linda) Cornwell of Everton, MO; 4 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Day, Date from Time at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Services will held at Tme, Day, Date in the funeral home/chapel. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
The family will conduct a private service at a later date & time.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Mercy Hospice, 1570 W. Battlefield, Springfield, MO 65807.
