Frank "Butch" Day, 72, of Springfield passed away September 22, 2012 in his home. He was born May 8, 1940 in Springfield to Claude A. and Mildred L. (Dillon) Day.
Butch loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved all animals. Butch never met a stranger and will be missed by many.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife of 51 years, Linda Lee (Burk) Day, and brother Claude "Bub" Day, Jr.
Butch is survived by his sons, Greg Day and his wife Sherry, and Jeff Day; a brother Tommy Day, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens
