"Her children shall rise up and call her blessed." Frances Lynell Meek entered into her eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 16, 2011, In the Year of her Lord. She was born on November 5, 1924, to Jim and Ethyl Temple. On December 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to Lester A. Meek. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years and her son-in-law John David "Bud" Walker II. She is survived by her daughters, Carmen Walker, Joy D. Chappell (John), Gaye Saitta (Thomas), Syndi Colvin (Lon); her son, William Max Meek; her sisters, Charlene Stough, Laverne Stough, and Martha Kulbeth; many nieces, nephews, friends and former employees of the RT French Company. Granny Meek had 10 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. She attended and was a member of Galloway Baptist Church for 43 years. She was a great prayer warrior, always lifting up her children, family and friends in prayer. A Gathering of Friends will be held at the Klingner-Cope Funeral Home Chapel at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, 2pm on Thursday, October 20th with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3pm. Contributions may be made in her memory to Galloway Baptist Church, Gideons International, the Lupus Foundation or Compassus Hospice of St. John''s, Monett, Missouri.
