Forrest Margaret McAdams, 87, passed away peacefully in her own home surrounded by family on February 24, 2013.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 pm at Klingner-Cope Funeral Home at 1635 N. Benton Ave. Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with burial to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.

Margaret was born on January 22, 1926 to Carrie Webb Dorris Long and Charles Alvin Long. Margaret graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1944. Margaret proudly worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 30 years.

On February 29, 1948 Margaret married Bernard Eugene McAdams. Together they had four children, Rebecca McAdams of Mt. Vernon, Danny McAdams of Highlandville, Cary McAdams of Springfield, and Andrew McAdams of Nixa. In 1998, when celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, it was written about Margaret and Bernard "Never have so many been loved by just two."

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, her brother, Alvin Charles Long, and many dear friends. Margaret is survived by her children, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Margaret will always be remembered as a dedicated wife and loving mother.
