Floyd Taylor Whitson was 72 years young when he left us on Monday, March 14, 2022. He was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1949 in Tiptonville, TN to Charles and Mary Whitson.

Floyd was a proud Marine for 3 years. He spent 20+ years as a Heavy Equipment Operator in which he loved playing in the dirt. Floyd was liked by all that he worked with, if you got his humor, then later by those who didn't get it at first. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as he was just a big kid at heart.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Jim, Mike and Donny Whitson.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Teresa Whitson, one son Jess Whitson, three daughters Sandi Sirois, Mildred Van Volkenburgh (Cano) and Kimberly Van Volkenburgh (White), ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
