Faye Price, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 2021 surrounded by family in Mercy Hospital after a short illness. She was born on Saturday, April 23, 1932 in Greene County, MO to Lillian and Roy Minor.
Faye graduated from Fair Grove High School in 1950 and was married to Charles Price on June 26, 1953. The couple briefly lived in Kansas City before settling in the Springfield area in 1957. In 1966, Faye joined Lily Tulip, which would eventually become Sweetheart Cup. She retired from Sweetheart Cup in 1994. Faye and Charles loved to travel and host gatherings for families and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister Lois, two brothers Clarence and Sam Minor and two infant brothers Ransom and Roy Jr.
Faye is survived by her niece LeAnn Rowe (husband Greg), two nephews Chris Minor (wife Karen) and Mike Minor, one sister-in-law Eva Price, great-nieces and great-nephews Lindsey Skarsten (husband Jason), Kyle Minor (wife Brandi), Stephanie Egger (husband David), Justin Rowe and Ashley Rowe, six great-great-nieces and nephews and was "Aunt Faye" to a host of friends whom she also considered family.
A visitation will be held from 11:30-12:30 PM on Friday, July 30, at the National Heights Baptist Church, 3050 N. National Ave., Springfield, MO 65803 with funeral services to follow at 12:30 PM. Interment will take place at 2 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Rd., Springfield, MO 65804. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Faye's name to the National Heights Baptist Church or a Veterans charity of your choice.
