Farris Helen Creed, 89, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Ozark Nursing and Care Center following a lengthy struggle with cancer. She was born on Sunday, July 3, 1927 in Fordland, MO to Nora Hubbard and Harrison E. Lawson.
Farris was an avid homemaker, enjoyed sewing, needle pointing, arts and crafts. She worked for several years in the retail industry as a store clerk and retired from Consumers Market as a pharmacy technician.
Farris was preceded in death by her husband Preston "Bucky" Creed, her parents and one son Tommy Creed.
She is survived by five children, David Creed (wife Aileen), Beverly Annin, Jimmy Creed (wife Marsha), Rosetta Netzer (husband Mark) and Teresa Rollins, 16 grand children, 25 great grand children and numerous
nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow. Burial will take place at the Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Compassus,
