Dr. EvaLee Lasater, of Ozark, MO, went to her eternal home on February 5, 2015, in Springfield, MO at the age of 70. She was born in Alton, MO on March 4, 1944 to Reverend Davie and Claudia Huff Combs.
EvaLee graduated from West Plains High School, Missouri State University and received her doctorate from California Coast University. She taught sixth grade in Salem, MO for eighteen year and taught at Missouri University of Science and Technology for almost twenty five years. Although she was honored with various recognitions and awards over the years, we know her greatest reward is in the crown she is wearing in heaven. She made a difference in so many lives through her teaching in school and church. EvaLee attended Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO and was loved and cared for by The Baptist Home staff in Ozark, MO, where she resided.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Elfa Rosalee Combs Reed (James Lee) of Myrtle, MO; daughters, RaLinda Lasater Register (Ray), of Rock Hill, SC and Stephanie Lasater Locher (John), of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren, Hayden, Haley and Hannah Register and Hudson and Lily Locher.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 9, 2015, from 1-2 P.M. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield, MO. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2015 at the chapel. Burial will follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
