Eula Mae Burney, 85, passed away November 3, 2016 in her home in Springfield, Missouri. She was born in Strafford, MO to Hobart and Inez Rowden on October 3, 1931.
She Married Coy Burney Jr. in 1952. They had a daughter, Kathy Morelock in 1957.
Mae went to work at a very young age. She met Coy in a diner where she worked. Five years after they were married Kathy was born. She was a very good loving mother. Money was tight but she always found a way to make sure her family had everything and more than they needed.
She lived in the same house that she loved for 38 years and had several very good neighbors that she thought a lot of and we believe it was reciprocated. She was very independent and reserved. She believed God watched over her and would take her when it was time.
May is preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Glen, Russel, Jarvis, and Rex Rowden; two sisters Unis Choate and Gladis Matthews.
She is survived by her daughter; grandson Deryk Morelock; three sisters, Geraldene Price, Shirley Anne Macey, and Blanche Davis; two brothers, Shirl and Herbert Rowden.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 1 pm until 2 pm with a service to follow at 2 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Hwy EE Springfield, MO). Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
