Eula Mae Potter, 91 of Strafford passed away Tuesday July 3rd at the Strafford Care Center. She was born on November 25, 1920 in Elkland, MO to Winton and Mary Evelyn Wheeler. Eula Mae married Andrew Douglas Potter in 1938. She was a Past Matron and a Charter Member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Eula Mae was a member of the Strafford United Methodist Church and had worked 19 years for the Strafford School System.
Eula Mae was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, her husband, Douglas and a great grandson. She is survived her children, Harold Rex (Jackie) Potter, Thousand Oaks, CA and Juanita Paxson, Strafford, MO; five grandchildren, Mike (Ronda) Paxson, Warsaw, MO, Andrea Paxson, Avon, CO, Jack and Stephen Potter, Thousand Oaks, CA; Gary Potter, Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Michael Paxson, Springfield, MO, Austin Boher, Avon, CO, Jesse Bowen, Warsaw, MO and one great-great granddaughter, Lexie Paxson, Springfield, MO.
A visitation will be held Sunday, July 8th from 6 to 7:30 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield. The funeral service will be Monday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the Strafford United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Dishman Cemetery.
