Eula Mae Hale, 96, of Springfield, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Lakewood Assisted Living in Springfield.
Born June 26th, 1930 in Springfield, Missouri, Eula Mae was a longtime Springfield native who lived a life filled with music, faith, family, and friendship. She was a devoted Christian whose faith was an important part of her life. Music was one of her greatest gifts and joys. She was especially known for her beautiful piano playing and musical abilities. She continued sharing that gift throughout her later years through gospel music every Sunday, bringing the joy of music and her faith to those around her.
Eula Mae was outgoing, had a contagious laugh, and a personality that made people feel welcome and loved. She treasured her family and was a devoted grandmother whose presence shaped the childhood of her granddaughter. Her love, laughter, and the countless memories they shared will remain a cherished part of her family’s lives.
Eula Mae is survived by her granddaughter, Lauren Baxter, her husband, Matthew Baxter, and their three children, Kylie, Noah, and Charlotte; her brother, Gene Samuel; and her niece, Lisa Samuel Odell: three great nephews, Trenton O’Dell and his wife Kori, Landon O’Dell, and Mason Hale. She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward while remembering the many years, stories, laughter, music, and moments they all shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Hale and her son, Marvin Hale whom she is lovingly reunited with in Heaven.
A celebration of Eula Mae’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, located 4500 S. Lone Pone Ave, Springfield, MO 65804.
Eula Mae will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of music, her contagious laughter, and most of all, the love she gave so freely to her family.
