Eugene L. Ulsh, 89, of Springfield, MO went home to be with his Lord on Monday January 29, 2018. Gene was born on February 6, 1928 in Wathena, KS, to Lafayette and Viola (Good) Ulsh.

Gene served in the US Army in a MASH unit in Korea, he served as a Deacon in church and was a faithful family man. He was devoted to taking care of his wife Ethel. He loved cars and would often be found tinkering with them as well as doing projects around their home. Gene loved the Lord, his family and watching old western movies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lafayette and Viola Ulsh, brothers, Donald and Kenneth Ulsh; a sister, Barbara Hartmen and an infant daughter Lucinda Ulsh.

Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife, Ethel (Williams) of 57 years, son; Rodney and wife Roberta; daughter Gina and husband Darrell Johnson, grandchildren; Ashley and fiancée Daniel Usher, Courtney and husband Spenser Farr, and Corey Johnson.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 1-2 pm in the chapel at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte (4500 S. Lone Pine) with a Graveside service to follow at 2p.m in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
