Ernest David Parker of Springfield was born in Tennessee on March 5, 1949 to Ralph and Rebecca Walker Parker and went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2016 at 8 p.m. He was united in marriage to Alma Jean McReynolds on August 30, 1969 and to this union were born a son David Parker and a daughter Bobby Giguere.

Ernie worked at Standard Electric Steel in Springfield for 20 plus years as a welder/grinder. He was born again and baptized into the Kingdom of God and was a member of Church of Restoration, Springfield. He loved the Lord Jesus with all of his heart.

Ernie was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother Rebecca Parker of Springfield, his wife of 47 years Alma Jean Parker of the home, his two children David Parker and Bobby Giguere both of Springfield, two brother Dwight Parker of Elkland, MO and Tim Parker of Springfield, two sisters Lynn Surber of Springfield and Betty Dickerson of St. Louis, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous other family and a host of friends plus a bulldog Shoyna.
