It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Eric Todd Brashear who departed this life on September 11, 2025 at the age of 38. Eric, was a cherished father, sibling, uncle, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched all who knew him.

He was born on August 22, 1987 in Springfield, Missouri to Cheri Lutz and Curt Brashear Sr. Eric lived a life marked by compassion, generosity, and resilience. His journey was one filled with love for family and friends, dedication to welding and a commitment to making the world brighter for those around him.

Eric is survived by his children, Dustin Chase and Mellaney Lou; mother, Cheri Lutz; father, Curt Brashear Sr; brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. Eric will be remembered for his notable qualities— gentle humor, steadfast support, love for antiquing, collection of tonka trucks, many craftsmanship's and the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Eric is preceded in death by: Shane Lee Lutz, Curt Thomas Brashear Jr., and Floyd Lutz.

A private service will be held to honor and celebrate Eric's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Though Eric is no longer with us in body, his light and love will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace.
