Emma Belle Throne Cobb, 87, daughter of Virgil and Exah B. Throne, was born July 15, 1927 in Flint, Michigan, and went to be with her Lord on March 16, 2015 in Springfield, MO. She moved to Springfield as a child and attended Springfield Public Schools, graduating from Springfield High School in 1946. She was married to Robert Lee Cobb on November 28, 1946 who preceded her in death in 2010.

Emma, also known as E.B. Cobb in the business world, retired from banking as Vice President of Operations for Empire Bank of Springfield, MO. During her employment she served on the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Board of Directors of St. John''s Hospital. She was an active member of Sunshine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert and son Steven Matthew Cobb of Eldon, MO, brother James Throne of Jackson, MS and sister Evelyn Throne Cantrell of Springfield, MO. She is survived by her son, R. Scott Cobb and wife Patti, Pasadena, TX; daughter-in-law, Abigail (Abbie) Clotworthy Cobb of Eldon, MO; grandchildren, Tyrus (Cindy) Cobb of Uniontown, OH, Cayce Cobb (Adam) Grote of Kansas City, MO, Brittni Cobb (Roger) Granados of Pasadena, TX, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Cobb of Pasadena, TX; great-grandchildren, Trezdon and MacKenzie Cobb, Maklin and Avinelle Grote, Valerie and Victoria Granados; brothers, Leonard (Joanne) Throne of Springfield, MO and V. Michael (Jose) Throne of Espanola, NM; sisters, Lovie Throne Forrester of Springfield, MO, Merry Throne Broom of Flushing, MI, Ina Throne Hungerford of Springfield, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Emma enjoyed time with her extended family, traveling, gardening, listening to gospel music and numerous preachers on television.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Service will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
