Emily Cecil Hollingsworth, 89, of Springfield, MO passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. She was born on Thursday, March 15, 1934 in Cottonwood Point, MO to Elton Cecil Hollingsworth and Emily Alberta Robertson.

Emily was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Springfield, MO and loved spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed listening to music, cutting Quilt pieces, writing letters, playing BINGO and crafts. The Family would like to give a special thank you to her niece Sheila Hollon for taking care of Emily for all these years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Jasper and Thomas Hollingsworth and one sister Flossie Riggs.

Emily is survived by her five sisters Mary Reed, Velva Clark, Bonnie Lowe (husband James), Ruth Ingram (husband Gary) and Helen Brown (husband Wayne), four brothers Elton "Sonnie" Hollingsworth (wife Janice), Paul Hollingsworth (wife Janifer), Johnny Hollingworth (wife Debbie) and Travis Hollingsworth (wife Ruby), her sister-in-law Ruby Hollingsworth and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield, MO 65804 with funeral services to follow at 11 AM. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com
