We lost an angel.

On March 17th 2023, Miss Ellie Florang was sung home to heaven after a short battle of Uterine Cancer.

Services will be held at Klinger Cope Funeral Home at White Chapel in Springfield, MO on Wednesday March 29th, 2023. Visitation is at 1:00 PM with services at 2:00 PM. No fancy attire needed.

Miss Ellie was devoted to taking care of her family, friends and her residents of The Maples health and Rehab (formally known as Primrose Place), the nursing home she was employed at for 35 years as CNA/CMT up until she passed. Through that time, she was also was a motivational speaker for NAHCA (at the time NAGNA) where she traveled to nursing homes and motivated CNAs.

Miss Ellie loved gardening, singing and baking. She spent all her free time with her family. Her loving husband of 47 years marriage, her 2 loving sons and her beautiful daughter, her little beagle Chevy and her grand puppies Star and Kush. Her family was her life and they always came first. She put everyone before herself. Her heart of gold will forever live in our hearts thru memories, stories and all the advice she had given. She will be missed by her family, her Maples Family, and many of friends.

Miss Ellie was an Angel in training. So don't worry, she already had her wings. She was given the strength and knowledge to know when and how to use them. We all have an angel watching over us now.

Miss Ellie is survived by her loving husband Wayne Florang; her 2 caring sons Garry and David Florang; her beautiful daughter Teresa Florang; her sister Alice Crock; and brother Doug Crock; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Miss Ellie is preceded in death by her parents Alreta and Herb Crock; 2 brothers Alan (Butch) Crock and Bill Crock.
