Edward Frances Whitney, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his home near Patterson, MO. He was born on Monday, July 14, 1941 in St. Louis MO, the son of Erskine and Jessie (Boyer) Whitney.

Ed was a long time resident of the Patterson area and retired as a truck driver and mechanic. He was married to Sharon Ann Chambers on May 2, 1958 in St. Louis and she passed away on October 12, 1987.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, one brother Erskine Whitney, Jr. and one sister Betty Jean Whitney.

He is survived by his six children Carrie Jean Whitney of Lake Ozarks, MO, Christine Marie Shaver of Piedmont, MO, Edward Joseph Whitney of Piedmont, Johnathon Daniel Whitney of Marshall, TX, Kelly Gene Whitney of Antwerp, OH and Michael Thomas Whitney of Patterson, MO, two brothers Jimie James Whitney of Patterson and David Joseph Whitney of Piedmont, one sister Judy Lowers of Piedmont, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, 100 Piedmont Ave., Piedmont, MO 63957. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM at the Rowland Woods Cemetery near Patterson, MO.
