Dwight D. Rowin, age 73, of Sedalia, Missouri formerly of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Sedalia. Mr. Rowin was born August 4, 1946 in Springfield to R. L. (Doug) and Freda L. Rowin. He served his country in the United States Navy during his youth. Mr. Rowin was a sports writer and editor, who worked at the Corpus Christi Times newspaper in Corpus Christi, Texas at the time of his retirement.

He is survived by sons Jeremy Barnett of Ohio, and Douglas (Dougie) Rowin of San Diego, California, and daughters Heather Rowin and Shannon (Rowin) Garcia, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and a niece Cindy Cusati of Springfield, Missouri, and numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Pamela K. Cotter.

Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 10:00 am at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Klingner Cope at White Chapel Funeral Home.
