Durward "Doug" Norris was born on March 31, 1940 to George and Leatha (Stoops) Norris. He passed away on January 14, 2014.

Doug retired from Consumers Market after 32 years, and Associated Wholesale Grocers after 15 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, MO and was a Deacon of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Akins. He is survived by his wife Donna of 54 years; two sons, Rick and wife Pam of Republic and John of Springfield; three granddaughters, Mandy Bennett and husband Ryan, Abby and Emily Norris; two sisters, Shirley Baum and husband Harold and Kay Richardson; plus a host of family and friends

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division). Service will be on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
