Dorothy Anne Watters, known to her friends as D.A., was born August 31, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA. She passed from this life on January 14, 2018. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Overstreet Watters, May 6, 1985.

D.A. leaves behind her father, Robert L. (Bob) Watters, numerous cousins and countless friends, many she came to know while serving as secretary to the Bob Watters Missions following her mother's death.

D.A. earned her bachelor's degree at Southwest Missouri State College, currently MSU, in Springfield, MO. She worked by computer, following her automobile accident in 1992, assisting five different professors at SMS in physics, astronomy, science, technology and English.

D.A. will be missed by all who knew and loved her throughout her 64 years on this Earth, remembering her brilliant mind, kind heart and the grace and patience she showed through 25 years of paralysis after her accident in 1992.

Family will receive friends and family on January 27, 2018 from 10-11am at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield. A Graveside service will follow at 11am in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
