Doris J. Speer, 83, of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Doris was a loving wife, grandmother and great-grandmother; who was an amazing cook and seamstress. She enjoyed traveling and fishing.

Doris is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Donna (Jeff) Birkman of Shawnee, KS, son Mark (Debra) of Springfield; grandchildren Erica Birkman, Rachel (Jeremy) Mahy, Tessa (Jason) Mahy, Jesse Speer; great-grandchildren Lily Mahy, Addyson Mahy, Violet Mahy, Scarlett Mahy, Hattie Mahy; a brother William (Louella) Phipps and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy. EE, Springfield, MO 65802 under the direction of Klingner-Cope at Midtown. Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
