Doris Ann Embretson, 91, passed away at Township Senior Living in Battlefield, Missouri on April 27, 2024.

Doris was born on January 19, 1933, in St. Olaf, Iowa. Doris dedicated her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, dominoes, and card games. Her family, friends, and caregivers will miss her sweet, generous, and mischievous personality. She never met a stranger and loved volunteering. Doris attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Springfield, MO while she was able.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Helmuth and Florence Meyer; brother, Leo Meyer, and husband Paul Embretson.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Thompson; two sons, Craig and Scott; and many loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to the staff at The Gardens Independent Living, The Township Senior Living, and Intrepid Hospice for loving and caring for Doris in her final years.
