Doris L. Cook, 101, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was born on April 12, 1919 in Collins, Missouri to William and Beaulah (Bishop) Hughes.

She married her loving husband, Noel Sydney Cook on July 15, 1939 in Springfield, Missouri. Doris was an excellent cook, especially for her family. Family gatherings were what she looked forward to the most. She invested in her family, and was always proud of their accomplishments. Doris loved her family deeply.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; 3 siblings, Verl, Ralph and Edna and her daughter in-law, Joyce E. Cook.

Survivors include her son, Steve Cook; grandchildren, Cheryl Plevka and husband Jeremy, Sarah Searson and husband Tom, and Kimberly Witt and husband Kevin; nine great grandchildren, Katelyn, Cameron, Colton, Jacob, Lincoln, Gracelyn, Jackson, Owen and Bethany; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Kathy McCrary, Don and Carmen and all of the staff at Joy Assisted Living for all the special care given to Doris over the last several years.

Chapel service will be held on Friday, February 5 ^th , 2021 at 2:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Hwy EE Springfield, MO 65802).

A burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
