Obituary

Donna Faye (Snearly) Warren went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the age of 81, in her home in Springfield, MO after a battle with cancer.

She was born February 18, 1945 in Melrose Township, Illinois, the eldest daughter of the late Lloyd Baker Snearly and Dorothy Phyllis (Nicol) Snearly. She had a blessed childhood along with her 4 siblings living in the states of Illinois, Colorado and Missouri.

She graduated from Eminence High School as class Valedictorian and received a scholarship to SBU in Bolivar, MO. But, love overcame and after a year returned to Eminence to marry her high school sweetheart, the late Gerald Dee Warren, Sr. on December 4, 1965. They were blessed with 3 children, Candra, Gerald Jr. and Alina.

Donna’s entire life revolved around children, besides being a selfless, devoted mother, she cared for children in her home and worked in her children’s elementary school as a teachers aide. She retired from Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO after 25 years in their children’s department.

Donna was known for her extraordinary talent with sewing, baking goodies and decorating cakes. She will be remembered for being the best, most loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her kind, generous and positive personality not to mention her beautiful smile will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gerald Dee Warren, Sr., and by her brother Kenneth Lee Snearly.

Donna is survived by her children and their spouses, Candra Wells (Michael), Gerald Warren Jr. (Karena) and Alina House (Darin); 7 grandchildren, Chad Watson (Skyler), Brad Wells (Brenna), Todd Watson (Ashton), Ryan Wells, Kelsea Warren, Landry Schneider (Bailey) and Madeline House; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her siblings and their spouses; Russell Snearly (LInda), Betty Bagwell (Eldon) and Beverly Downs (Charlie).
