It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Donna Sue Norris, who left this world on Thursday,  September 11th, 2025 at the age of 84.

Donna was born in Springfield, Missouri on Sunday,  March 9th, 1941. She graduated from Springfield Central High School and married Doug Norris on June 20, 1959. She retired from Springfield Public School System after a 25 year career.

Donna enjoyed bowling, reading, and travelling with Doug. After the blessings of granddaughters, they did not miss a single activity that the girls  were involved in! She loved her family deeply!

She spoiled us all by  making the best candy from Thanksgiving through Christmas!

She is survived by her two sons, Rick Norris and wife, Pam, and John Norris; three granddaughters, Amanda Dennis and husband, Matt, Abby Norris, and Emily Norris. She had a special place in her heart for her three granddogs, Kaos, Izzy, and Ellie, and great-granddogs, Bear and Cas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Doug Norris; her parents, John and Dollie Smith; a brother, Ed Smith, and three sisters, Lulamae Sneddon, Myrtle Corbin, and Wanda Lindsey.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 16th, 10:00 a.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

He Only Takes The Best

God saw you getting weary.

He did what he thought best.

He came and stood beside you,

and whispered come and rest.

But you did not go alone,

for part of us went with you the

day God called you home.

God gave us strength to bear it,

courage to take a blow.
