Obituary

Donna Coffman Wade Carlson, 81, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, at 8:11 p.m. at her daughter's home, surrounded by family and friends.

Donna was born to Rass Coffman and Carrie Long Coffman and was one of 13 children.

She was first married to Jack Wade on June 14, 1963 and together they had two children, Steven Wade and Tina Conyers. Jack preceded her in death on October 9, 1982. Donna later married Samuel Carlson on January 18, 2005. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2023.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Rass and Carrie Coffman; her husband, Samuel Carlson; her first husband, Jack Wade; her son, Steven Wade; seven brothers, Frances, Farris, Dean, Gene, Harold, Darold, and Larry "Buck" Coffman; and two sisters, Mable and Ruby.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Conyers; three sisters, Dottie Perryman, Patsy Hamilton and Darlene Bradshaw (Glen); five stepchildren, Sammy Carlson (Pam), Tamera Dittmer (Gary), Ronda Coonts (Jeff), Maria Caudle (Tom), and Tim Carlson (Pat); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Professionally, Donna worked as a cutter at the Brown Shoe Factory, but her entrepreneurial spirit truly shined when she purchased Club 60 in 1984. What began as a small white building serving only beer evolved through her vision, hard work, and determination into a thriving steakhouse and bar. Through several expansions and remodels, she transformed the business into a successful local establishment that continues to operate today. She sold the business in 2005 and entered retirement.

Following retirement, Donna and Sam enjoyed spending their winters in Florida before permanently relocating there in 2013. They built many lasting friendships in their neighborhood through card games, potluck gatherings, and an active social life.

Donna loved the outdoors and cherished making memories with her family. While raising her children, summer evenings were often spent at local creeks and rivers, and weekends were devoted to camping adventures. She also enjoyed antiquing, shopping, decorating, and, most of all, spending time with those she loved.

The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the St. Croix Hospice team and Susanne Miller for their compassionate care, support, and kindness.

Donna will be remembered for her strong work ethic, generous heart, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering love for family and friends. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her
