Donald Dwayne Shaw died on February 5, 2025 at the age of 74 after a seven-year long battle with multiple myeloma cancer.
Don was born in Springfield, Missouri on May 18, 1950 to Thomas Edward Shaw and Margaret Elizabeth (Corn) Shaw. He graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield in 1969. His first job was at the Union Stockyards in Springfield. He worked many years as a printing press operator at Lily Tulip, (later known as Sweetheart Cup Company and Solo Cup Company) in Springfield. After that he worked as a printing press operator at MWM Dexter in Aurora, Missouri, and retired as a maintenance worker at the Wal-Mart in Republic, Missouri.
Don married Rebecca (Mason-Weaver) March 22, 1989. They made their home in Republic, Missouri. Don's favorite hobby was woodworking. He was a great handyman, and could fix almost anything that broke. He was an active member at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and the following siblings: Robert Leslie Shaw, Edward Lee Shaw, Barbara Jean Webb (Shaw) Harry LeRoy Shaw, Evelyn Louise Pugh (Shaw), Tommy Wayne Shaw, and Harold Wesley Shaw.
Don is survived by his wife Rebecca (Becky) and the following siblings: Michael Eugene Shaw (Linda), Ronald Dean Shaw (Mary), Curtis James Shaw, Clinton Ryan, Ricky Ryan, Teresa Ryan, Carl Shaw (Denise), Tammy Brannon (Shaw) (Jimmy), and Thomas (Tombo) Edward Jr Shaw (Tally). He is survived by his children: Janett Shaw, Gary Shaw, Daniel Weaver, Sarah Weaver, David Shaw, and Jonathan Shaw. He is survived by his grandchildren: Brianna Duncan, Caleb Dunkin, Cullen Barrett, Makaila Barrett, Bennett Williams, Archer Williams, and great grandson Kyson McKenna. Don is survived by many other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and will be greatly missed.
