Obituary

Don Anderson, 66, passed away in Branson, MO on Friday, March 7, 2014. He was born October 21, 1947, in Keokuk, Iowa to Joe Anderson and Ruby Maxine Anderson.

Don married his beloved wife Denise on December 4, 2008 in Hawaii. He worked as a national sales manager at Ventamatic for the past 8 years. He previously worked at Schooler and Associates as a vice president and also in sales at Graybar Electric. He loved and cherished his time together with his family and dear friends. He enjoyed the outdoors whether it was at the lake house, boating, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He liked motorcycles, classic cars and flying planes. Don was an avid Chiefs and Nascar fan, and he loved his John Deere tractor. His memberships included the Scottish Rite 32nd degree Master Mason; Abdullah Shriners; Eagles - Shell Knob; past president and member of Electrical Association of Kansas and Missouri and Crystal Beach board member. He was honorably discharged from the Army on February 1, 1974 and served as an honor guard where he received an expert badge in rifle and pistol. He also received a National Defense Service Medal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Anderson; grandmother, Lela Kortum and grandfather, Avery Smith.

Don is survived by his wife Denise Anderson; daughter Jill Brueggenjohann (Mike) of Ballwin, MO, daughter Amy Anderson (David Bonin) of Springfield, MO, son Scott Holmes (Danelle) of Gaylord, MI; daughter Tara Ross (Nicholas) of Waterford, MI; sister Beverly Anderson of Iowa, brother Bill Anderson (Denise) of Indianola, IA; sister Brenda Pluimer (Lanny) of Bentonville, AR, sister Glenda Leffler of Ozark, MO and sister JohnetteLeffler of IA; special uncle and aunt, Melvin and Mary Etta Smith of Reeds Spring, MO; grandchildren, Grant and Madison Brueggenjohann of Ballwin, MO and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8p.m. on Wednesday, March 12 at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 12 p.m. officiated by Pastor Mitch Smith. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

The family has requested donations be made to the Shrines or Highlandville Assembly of God.
