Dixie D. Houchins, 83 of Springfield, was born on August 24, 1929 in Mountain Grove, MO and passed away on February 7, 2013. She was married to Donald D. Houchins and worked at Vermillion for approximately 35+ years.

She is survived by her son, Andrew Houchins; three grandchildren, Sarah (Brock) Woods, Brandon Closser and Robin (Ethan) Baker; four great-grandchildren: Madison King, Blake Woods, Josie Woods and Carson Baker with a host of other family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Mae (Williams) Lister, husband, Donald D. Houchins, son, Curtis Houchins, brother, Eddie Lister and aunt, Fern Houchins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. in the
Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State
HWY EE (on West Division Street) Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
