Diane Springfield Borutta, was born November 10, 1941 in Thayer, MO. She was the youngest child and only daughter of Una (Crass) and Waymon Springfield. She passed away peacefully, January 25, 2016, after a heroic battle with cancer, at the age of 74.
Diane was united in marriage to William Borutta on February 24, 1962. They began their life together in Nixa, MO before moving to Hallsville, Mo. Diane was an active member of the Nixa and Hallsville Jaycee Wives, Hallsville Station 3 Firewives, and was named Boone Hospital Volunteer of the Year. She spent her golden years alongside her husband, campground hosting at State Parks in MO and TX, eventually settling in Canton, TX.
She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Bill Borutta; a daughter Linda Williams(Brett) of Marietta, GA; 2 sons Jeff Borutta(Darcy) of Keller, TX;Dan Borutta of Bedford TX; 6 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters; a brother Robert (Faye) Springfield of Franklin, VA; a brotherJohn (Barbara) Springfield, of Canton, TX and close family friend Chad Estes, of Biloxi MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, her daughter, Billye Dawn Shepherd, and her brother Donald Ray Springfield.
Memorial services will be held January 30th in Springfield, MO at Klinger-Cope Funeral Home Rivermonte, with visitation from 1-3pm and a funeral immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
