IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dexter Mccrimmons
Ii
September 25, 1955 – April 25, 2021
Dexter McCrimmons II was born September 25th, 1955 in Springfield, MO to Dexter and Margaret McCrimmons.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Clyddie Boyd on May 4, 1985. The two shared over 36 beautiful years together, proudly welcoming four children - Michael, Paytre, Thomas, and Daniel.
Dexter was baptized at Washington Avenue Baptist Church at a young age. Throughout their marriage, Dexter and Clyddie continued to deepen their faith in the Lord. He went on to become an ordained deacon through Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
From the very beginning, Dexter was an avid sports fan. Football was a huge part of his childhood, playing for the Central High School Bulldogs in the class of 1973. He was a dedicated Chicago Bears fan throughout his life.
Dexter was honored to be a part of "Big Brown," serving as a UPS Driver for over thirty years before his retirement. Driving through the streets of Springfield with his door open, he would honk his horn and give a fist bump to the kids.
Family was the most important part of Dexter's life. He was a devoted husband, protective brother, and adoring father. His children and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments.
Dexter, "Papa D," departed this life on April 25, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Margaret McCrimmons; two sisters, Vicky and Linda; grandparents; three brothers-in-love; nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife: Clyddie; daughter: Paytre (Quinton); sons: Michael (Jayme), Thomas (Allye), and Daniel. His three grandchildren: Ayden, Fahren and Aquira, who were his world; sisters: Donna Richardson, Judy (Gene) Johnson, Pamela (Craig) Adams, Monica McCrimmons, Myra Adams; and sister-in-law Dorothy Haywood, nieces, nephews, and friends.
