Dennis Jay Mitchell, husband, father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on Monday, March 16, 1942, in Springfield, Missouri, where he spent his life and developed a passion for woodworking that would shape both his career and personal life.

He graduated from Central High School, then spent time in the military reserves and then went on to establish his own woodworking business, where his craftsmanship was admired by many. He took great pride in his work and his attention to detail was unmatched.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Martha; son, Eric, and wife, Kim and their children, Lexi and Caden; son, Max, and wife, Mandy and their children Hunter and Parker.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jay; his mother, Marie and his brother, Danny.

He loved gardening, spending time at the lake with his family, fishing and running around in the golf cart with his grandchildren and his four-legged friend Ringo.
