Dennis Lee Goodman, 64 of Springfield, was born on March 30, 1952 in Springfield to Leonard and Annalee (Jones) Goodman. He passed away September 27, 2016 at home with his family by his side.
He married Valarie Jean Anderson on September 28, 1972 and they would have celebrated their 44th anniversary. Dennis was an avid gardener and antique clock collector. He also enjoyed his work and was a very loving and caring person.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant brothers and 1 older brother, Floyd Eugene Goodman.
He is survived by his wife; children, Preston (Michelle) Goodman and Tracey (AJ) Spear; 2 brothers, Jim Goodman and Mark (Kathy) Goodman; 4 sisters, Imogene (Jerry) Crowder, Arletta (David) Tuter, Nancy (Randy) Arnold and Becky Goodman; 8 grandchildren, Autumn (Daniel) D'Angelo, Seth and Emma Spear, Amber, Meaghann, Hunter, Brianna and Bella Goodman; 2 great-grandchildren, Gracelynn D'Angelo and Raven Goodman and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5-7 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte. 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield. Service will be on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with interment to follow in Maple Park Cemetery.
