IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis Bruce
Bittle
November 19, 1949 – February 11, 2026
Dennis Bruce Bittle, 76 of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his home peacefully surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born on Saturday, November 19, 1949 in Columbia, Missouri to Lloyd Turner and Wilma Jane Bittle and graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia. Dennis spent his early years in Columbia working primarily in the construction industry. In the late 70's Dennis moved to Springfield, Missouri where he continued working construction. Due to health limitations he drove over the road for a couple of years and then worked several jobs that didn't require so much physical labor. He worked hard his whole life to overcome the ravages of polio, which he suffered as a young child.
Dennis was a huge sports fan and closely followed the Kansas Chiefs and the Nixa Eagles football and basketball, both boys and girls. He also thought of himself as a catfish and crappie fisherman, but that's another story. He was a man with a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought he could help you.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and both sets of grandparents.
Dennis is survived by his wife, of twenty-three years, Deanna of the home; a brother, Dale Bittle and his wife, Maureen of Ozark; nieces, Michelle Crismas and Shannon Ohrenberg of Springfield; nephew, Shawn Bittle of Stotts City, Missouri as well as several great nieces and nephews and a whole host of friends.
There are no services planned at this time but a private service will be held at a later date.
