Delores 'Dee' Vigano died at the age of 92 in the loving arms of family on January 13, 2022 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank T and Rhea C Mayer, and her son Jim Batsch.

Dee grew up an only child in St. Louis, MO and graduated from Affton High school where she met and later married Bud Batsch.  They lived on Watson road behind the Zenith Oil Co/Zephyr gas station business that was built and established by her father Frank in the mid 1940's. Here, Dee and Bud lived and worked alongside Frank and Rhea raising a family.

Dee remarried in the 1960's to Robert Vigano.  They moved to Table Rock Lake and operated a resort, later retiring to the Shell Knob area and eventually settling in Springfield, MO.

Dee loved music and played the piano and organ. She could sing as well as play, and sang with the Sweet Adelines. She knew the words to most any song and would jump right in singing harmony.

Dee worked hard, played hard, and could never be beat!  From bowling to bridge, racquetball to flying an airplane, she was always on top of her game. She was a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman who held her family close through good times and hard times…a true matriarch. She will always be the song in our hearts.

Dee is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Bob Vigano, her son David Batsch (Jill) of Overland Park, KS, her daughter Christine Winters of Dardenne Prairie, MO, her daughter Mindy Batsch of Warrenton, MO, her daughter Mary Smith (Randy) of Wildwood, MO, her son Bob Batsch (Patti) of Bentonville, AR, her son Paul Vigano (Bettejo) of Joplin, MO, and many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2022 at Klingner-Cope Funeral Home at Rivermonte, Springfield. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
