Mrs. Debra Kay Carroll, age 72, of Springfield, Mo. peacefully passed away  at home on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Debra Kay Carroll (Long) was born on Monday, January 26th 1953, to Hazel Long and John Crim in Springfield,  Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother and sister; her all time love, her husband, John Carroll.

Debra is survived by one daughter, Jessica Stuckey; grandkids, great-grandkids and six brothers and sisters.

Debra was involved with Amvets post #178 and did a lot of volunteering with them. She also enjoyed gardening and crocheting lots of crafts.  She also loved the Chiefs and watched them the day she passed. She had a few different jobs, bartender, waitress and truck driver with her husband, John.  She was a hard but loving Mom.  She was a good friend to a lot and she was devoted to her dogs. She will be missed greatly.

Her favorite poem that brings me great comfort is Footprints in the Sand "It was then that I carried you."  Reminding us that God is always there to carry us. I Love You Mom!

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with
the Lord. Scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In
each, I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were
two sets of footprints; other times there was only one.

During the low periods of my life I could see only one set of
footprints, so I said, "You promised me, Lord, that you would
walk with me always. Why, when I have needed you most,
have you not been there for me?"

The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set
of footprints, my child, is when I carried you."

Inurnment will be in the Columbarium at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
