Deborah Lucille (Murray) Hoopingarner , age 65, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Springfield, Mo. Deborah was born March 14, 1951 to Byron and Lucille Murray in Springfield, MO.

Debbie was a loving, caring, and dedicated wife, partner, and best friend of Bob for over 43 years. She relished her life in the country as well as traveling with family and friends. Of her many accomplishments, being a docent at the Dickerson Park Zoo was her favorite. She loved working with the birds of prey even though the Eagle was almost as big as her. Debbie''s spunk, wit, and inner strength never faltered even as her health was challenged by Type 1 Diabetes and complications associated with it, especially during the last year. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends whom she treated as family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her father Byron Murray.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Hoopingarner of Ash Grove; mother, Lucille Murray of Willard, MO; sister, Yvonne Johnson (Rick) of Mt. Vernon; and many sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends too numerous to count.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm with a memorial service starting at 7:30 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W.
