Mrs. Deanna Sue “Susie” Harrison, age 88, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, with family by her side.

Deanna was born in Springfield to Elsa Rebecca “Dottie” and Lawrence Justice. She attended Springfield High School and graduated from Drury University where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She became a Medical Technologist working the majority of her career at Smith Glynn Calloway Clinic. Deanna was married to Harold “Shorty” Harrison on December 14, 1959. They met as juniors in high school and remained married for 67 years until her passing.

Deanna loved music and played violin with the Symphony after high school. She also loved traveling, Arabian horses, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She had a smile that would light up a room and never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Shorty; two daughters and their husbands, Michelle and Andrew Runge and Kim and David Hamm; three grandchildren, Alexander, Chloe and Lauren Hamm; one great-grandson, Harrison Hamm and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A private family burial is planned at White Chapel Memorial Gardens and will be followed by a Celebration of Life in the Spring. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
